The Beck Theatre is a community theatre offering a varied repertoire of concerts, theatre, dance, musicals, operas and pantomime. Located on Grange Road, the theatre is right at the heart of the Hayes community and was built in 1977 by Hillingdon Borough Council. It was designed as a purpose-built cultural centre to focus on involving the local public with artistic events.

The venue has a parkland atmosphere due to its adjacent botanical garden, the Norman Leddy Memorial Garden, which is designated as one of the gardens of excellence for the area. The architectural beauty of the Beck led to its selection as one of forty buildings that were considered for the Royal Institute of British Architects London region award in 1978. It was also the recipient of an Access Award from Hillingdon Council in 2004 for its community focus, and resources for disabled and elderly people.

Although a fund shortage threatened the theatre's future in 1984, it was eventually saved by a local petition and taken over by impresario Charles Vance in 1986. It also came under threat from an attempted IRA bombing in 1991, just before a show from the Blues and Royals band was due to take place. Despite its turbulent past, the Beck was bought by Hetherington Seelig, who ran a partnership with Qdos Entertainment called HQ Theatres in 2006. The Beck Theatre continues to run a successful programme of theatre all year round.
